First half  brilliance!

Within the first five minutes of the match we managed to earn ourselves a corner as we were on the front foot straight from kickoff. A few moments later a wonder strike from Marcus Tavernier from 25 yards rattled the crossbar as Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez waa nowhere near it. Record signing Evanilson earnt himself a penalty as he flicked the ball over Sanchez with Anthony Taylor awarding the spot kick. He stepped up and took the penalty with Robert Sanchez saving it in the bottom left corner, as the wait still goes on for the record signing player.

What went wrong in the second half?

Ryan Christie who is the power horse of the AFC Bournemouth team received a yellow card early on in the first half, which meant he had to be very careful with his challenges. With twenty minutes to go he was then replaced by Alex Scott. This meant that only Lewis Cook was the only defensive midfielder, which Chelsea could overrun us in that position which they took full advantage of. New Chelsea signing Jadon Sancho was the star of the second half as the Bournemouth defence struggled with his trickery, pace and vision of passing. Both substitutes Christopher Nkunku and Jadon Sancho combined with one another to score the winning goal for Chelsea!
