A lot of confusion and disappointment among the Tottenham fanbase after Spurs lost their 3rd consecutive North London Derby at home: no one was saved from the critics, with some fans starting to question Ange Postecoglou’s system. Tottenham will play 6 games before the next international break, much needed to overcome the bad atmosphere at the club and breathe some fresh air. Which opponents await Spurs in the following weeks?

Premier League

In the Premier League, Tottenham will play once again in front of their fans, this time again an impressive Brentford side, which collected 6 points out of possible 12, but lost to Liverpool and Manchester City, despite a hard-working performance. After the Bees, Spurs will be protagonist of two exciting clashes away from home: a trip to Old Trafford against Manchester United, off to a quite slow start in the Premier League aswell, and then Ange Postecoglou and his team, will move to the south coast to face Brighton. Certainly, two very important tests for the lilywhites, who already came out empty handed from two important games against Newcastle and Arsenal.

Carabao Cup & Europa League

Tonight, Spurs will kick-off their Carabao Cup journey at Coventry: possible minutes for the youngsters Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall and Wilson Odobert. A game Tottenham must approach in the right way from start to finish, as we have seen last year what the Sky Blues are able to do in the domestic cups. Next week, Ange Postecoglou will then start his first European campaign since managing Tottenham, surely a competition on from which both the fans and the board expect a great journey: Spurs will first host Qarabag at home on 26 September (between Brentford and Man United fixtures), and then take a flight to Budapest to face Ferencvaros, just 3 days before the trip to Brighton. It will be crucial for Spurs to start well in the cups, to start recovering after the bad start in the Premier League, and focusing with less pressure on gaining position in the table in the following months.
