What’s new
Ipswich Town snatched a point out of Southamptons grasp last week with a deflected Sam Morsy strike finding the top left hand corner sending Ipswich fans into pandemonium, back to back draws on the south coast keeps Ipswich in 17th on 3 points, 2 points clear of the relegation zone with all 3 sides inside are on a singular point after 5 games
Aston Villa have started this season the way they started the last one, 3rd place after 5 games with 4 wins and a loss to their name, also a 3-0 win on their Champions league return against Young Boys away from home with Bayern Munich coming to Villa park this Wednesday coming.
Injury update
McKenna said: “Kalvin has trained with the group today, so we’ll make a judgement on how many minutes he’ll be available for.”
He added: “Nathan (Broadhead) has been training well for the last week, so we’ve almost got a fully fit squad.”
For Aston Villa, Centre-back Mings and midfielder Kamara have both returned to training with their team-mates having recovered from long-term knee injuries, however they will be travelling without Scottish midfielder John McGinn who is recovering from a hamstring injury which forced him off during Villa’s 3-1 win over Wolves last weekend.
“When it’s an injury, it’s not good for the player or us,” Emery explained
“But, analysing his performances before his injury, he needed to improve and needed to increase his performance.”
“And we were working with him in his focus to increase it.” Emery added.
My Predictions
I think it is going to be a long shot for us to get something out of this game, Aston Villa are a very very good side and I dread to think what they are able to do with a full strength team, players like Duran and Watkins to name a few, also with a very strong defence and showing that the champions league is not affecting them as of yet, with Emery stating that full focus is on the game this Sunday, I fear it will be too much for us to handle
My full time score: ipswich 0-3 Aston Villa
